Not a Windows problem.

You need to attempt to locate the printer's service manual(s) / guide(s), if they exist. Usually, this type of "extensive" cleaning are done at authorized repair centers.

They sent cleaning solution in a small bottle which was seperate from the three colored ones: yellow,magenta & blue. I assumed it was for the printhead. IF it wasn't then what in the world was it for? It says printhead cleaner on the bottle label. It was bought from ENDLESS COLORS .com

It lists six or seven major brand printers it can be used on, and it says: many more ,also. But epson models have to have a chip setter. I will check the website and see if there is a way to get instructions on how to use it..........................Thanks

Thank you Rohit Chettri: I am never sure how to open those pdf files, but I wll contact ENDLESS COLORS.com where I bought the ink from as it sent printhead cleaner , too. I never thought of it until now.....They should be able to help me somewhat.............Thank you for responding......................... FRAZZLED AND BEDAZZLED

BRINGING YOU UP TO DATE ON WHAT i HAVE ACCOMPLISHED SO FAR.

I contacted ENDLESS COLORS.COM by phone, and they were most helpful in telling me how to clean the printhead.......They said just take a paper towel and pour some printhead cleaner right on it and then set the printhead down on the paper towel and push down on the printhead putting some pressure on i;t and that would clean it. Then wipe around it(the printhead) and also inside the printer machine and that should clean it.

That did work and it did a good job of cleaning that part..............so now I just have to work other problems ,iron out these problems , and I'll be set to go...
